The West Virginia Sportsweek is a weekly sports-talk show and Internet website about sports of local interest for North Central West Virginia Sports Fans.  The radio show is on Thursday’s at 6 p.m. on 920-AM WMMN – Fairmont (Wednesday’s in January and February).  “The Voice of the Fairmont State Fighting Falcons” Reid Amos hosts the weekly show with WMMN Sportscaster Joe Sengewalt and/or other local sports personalities joining him on the show.  The website - www.wvsportsweek.net - promotes the weekly talk show and provides sports news and insight into the North-Central West Virginia Sports Scene.

The West Virginia Sportsweek
covers sports of local interest - on the talk show and the Internet - from Fairmont State and WVU to High School on the local front.  Regionally, we cover the Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins – in our coverage of professional sports. 

Guests on the show have included:  Pittsburgh Pirates play-by-play announcer Lanny Frattere, Pirates color commentator and former great Steve Blass, former Pirate Jay Bell among others .  Fairmont State coaches Rusty Elliott and Butch Haswell, as well as numerous area college and high school coaches and stars.  The WV Sportsweek has been broadcast live from Three Rivers Stadium, Jacobs Field in Cleveland, OH, The Commonwealth Convention Center in Louisville, KY and The Charleston Civic Center to name just a few.
